Die APTV(Amajuba Publisiteit en Toerisme Vereniging het gedurende Augustus vergadering gehou. Ongeveer twintig mense was teenwoordig en almal is dit eens dat iets daadwerkliks gedoen moet word om toerisme in Volksrust te bevorder. Gedurende September is daar reeds hard gewerk en spog ons nou met 'n inligting kantoor by die Aveling Engen sentrum. Ons advertensieborde behoort eersdaags op te wees om dit duidelik aan te dui. Ons wil graag Mevrou Sandra Aveling bedank vir die perseel wat sy gratis tot ons beskiking stel.

Mevrou Louise Coetzee is aangestel as toerisme beampte, sy kan gekontak word by 0825646077. Die kantoor sal ook Greyhound besprekings doen.

Intussen is die bestuur besig met beplanning vir die toekoms. en 'n paar projekte word in die vooruitsig gestel nl:

- Toerisme bewusmaking
- 'n Volksrust brosjure
- 'n Kunsuitstalling
- Webblad ontwikkeling
